Abstract
Let (Formula presented.) be a complex semisimple Lie algebra with Borel subalgebra (Formula presented.) and corresponding nilradical (Formula presented.). We show that singular Whittaker modules M are simple if and only if the space (Formula presented.) of Whittaker vectors is 1-dimensional. For arbitrary locally (Formula presented.) -finite (Formula presented.) -modules V, an immediate corollary is that the dimension of (Formula presented.) is bounded by the composition length of V. © 2024 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
