Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
This chapter briefs the design aspect of the thin-walled composite structure for energy absorption applications. Energy absorption is a deciding factor measured through different crushing parameter indicators and is influenced by the unit cell design of the thin-walled structure in conjunction with the materials. The different thin-walled structure designs such as foam core, honeycomb core, truss core, origami core, corrugated core, and graded core are discussed. Finally, a brief conclusion with a future perspective is presented. This investigation may be widely used as a guideline in designing advanced thin-walled composite structures for energy absorption applications. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
