Abstract

A flexible computational model, based on a generalized object-oriented iterative algorithm is developed for the analysis of power and process cycles. Each component of the plant is identified as an object, and the interlinking between various objects is achieved through an appropriate node connectivity. Subsequently, 'iteration loops' are activated, consistent with the number of primary unknowns, until a converged solution is achieved. Simulation results are presented that correspond to the heat balance analysis of a typical cogeneration cycle of a process plant.
