Abstract

A new generalized dynamic inversion based state-constrained robust adaptive control design is proposed in this paper using barrier Lyapunov function philosophy. Six-degree- of-freedom winged-cone air-breathing hypersonic vehicle model is used to demonstrate the performance of the proposed design. The uncertainties are assumed in aerodynamic coefficients and inertia components of vehicle dynamics. It has been shown that the proposed adaptive controller leads to fast learning with less transient and is robust enough not to violate the imposed constraints on the system output. It has also been shown from Monte- Carlo like simulation studies that the proposed robust adaptive controller can tolerate up to 25 parameter uncertainties.
