Abstract

Multimode photonics have obtained enormous attention from researchers in the past decade, making mode converters essential for photonic integrated circuits. We, in this paper, are proposing arc bent waveguide-based, highly efficient, compact (5.5μm) , and reciprocal TE0−TE1 and TE1−TE0 mode converter with a conversion efficiency of 96.28% and 95.73%, respectively.
