Abstract

This paper presents a quadrotor intersection management guidance logic which requires only the bearing information with respect to a beacon. A Proportional Navigation based guidance logic is proposed which takes into account the vehicle on-board sensor field-of-view limit. Vehicle trajectory safety constraints imposed by the passage boundary and the beacon are also incorporated. Further, the proposed method allows a control over the vehicle location as well as orientation by selecting suitable engagement parameters. Simulation results are presented demonstrating the effectiveness of the method in attaining various desired terminal conditions. © 2022, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA.
