A stable, single grain of quasicrystalline $Al_6CuLi_3$ alloy, was subjected to X-ray diffraction experiments. The quasicrystalline nature of the grain is established from the X-ray diffraction photographs taken along the 5-, 3- and 2-fold axes. The attempts to index the reflections in the conventional crystallographic way are not very successful.
