Abstract

Grating couplers with coupling efficiency of -3.27 dB (TE) and -8 dB (TM) are demonstrated in a novel SiN/a-Si/SiN sandwich-waveguide with a 3dB bandwidth ∼ 100 nm in the C-band for linear and non-linear photonics. © 2020 IEEE.
