Abstract

The way enterprises conducting business over the internet is evolving. Virtualization, cloud computing and Software-defined networking (SDN) are server based tools that help amplify the growth of organizations. Uninterrupted power and efficient management of it is a fundamental requirement for the technologies to function satisfactorily. On the other power outage is a reality. Hence addressing power issues for a server is a vital factor in its management. The monitoring system simulates various tasks of an administrator in real time, and request administrators support for tasks beyond its scope. By integrating necessary features into the Network Operations Center (NOC) monitoring system for its optimum automated operations results in ensuring limited administrators monitoring time for a single NOC. The intent of the proposed work is to augment human resource deployed into single NOC to multiple NOC. The focal point of the monitoring system is to assist the network administrator in network troubleshooting, resource management, performance monitoring, and coordination with affiliated networks. The tool proposed also incorporates necessary alerting or warning mechanism based on the severity of issue detected forthwith.
