Abstract

In an interesting reaction mediated by benzyltriethylammonium tetrathiomolybdate, [(PhCH2NEt3)(2)MoS4] isosorbide-2,5-dinitrate undergoes selective reduction to isosorbide-5-mono-nitrate in good yield.
