Abstract

Arboreal earthworms are scarce in tropical rain forests, being confined to tree trunks or epiphytes (Fragoso & Rojas-Fernandez 1996). Their above-ground presence might be attributed to (1) temporary responses to flooding (Adis & Righi 1989)
