Abstract

Introducing Ilkovic's limitation regarding the range of diffusion distance from the electrode surface into 3 dimensional spherical diffusion equation and combining it with the functional relationship, as also used by Kambara and Tachi, a differential equation for spherical diffusion to a growing electrode was formulated. Differential equations for spherical diffusion process to a growing Hg electrode for the cases involving chem. reactions occurring parallel to the electrode process were also formulated. The initial and the boundary conditions are given and the differential equation is solved by the Laplace transform method. A discussion of the modification of Ilkovic equation is also given
