Abstract

The EcoRI, BglII, ClaI and BamHI restriction sites in the rRNA-specifying DNA (rDNA) unit of rice were detected by multiple enzyme digestion of the genomic DNA and subsequent hybridization of the restriction fragments with rRNAs. The copy number of the rDNA repeat unit was 1060/diploid genome.
