Abstract
During the last 5 years, since its first application to biomolecules, twodimensional nuclear Overhauser effect (2D NOE) has become an extremely powerful technique for assignment of NMR spectra and for elucidation of conformation of biomolecules in solution. The methodology of the 2D NOE technique, its recent developments and its applications to proteins and oligonucleotides are briefly reviewed.
