The main emphasis of the author's work has been directed towards achieving efficient parallel solutions to the complex computing problems encountered in scientific and engineering applications, by developing high performance parallel architectures and efficient mapping of algorithms onto these. Besides investigating the theoretical aspects of algorithms and architectures and carrying out simulation studies on them, he has also been able to build hardware testbeds for many of the proposed parallel architectures.
