Abstract

The academic institutions, R&D laboratories, and industries have to work together to meet the goals in a time-bound manner. This calls for a close cooperation among all these for luckily exploiting the opportunities for electronics development in India. Through our national/internationaI connections, our access to worldwide experience in electronics and the many on-going and newly launched technical activities and programmes, together with the expertise and capabilities of our members, IETE can truly serve as an excellent interface in this gigantic task. Also, IETE can play a major catalytic role in meeting the professional aspirations for electronics development in India as envisaged by the year 2000.
