Abstract

The development of nanotechnology and its adoption have had a positive impact on several scientific fields. This is particularly important when creating new pharmacological compounds and goods. The introduction of nanomedicines to the pharmaceutical industry, the debate around fundamental ideas relating to these nano-systems, and the many approaches used to further knowledge are the main topics of this chapter. The problems for implementing nanotechnology, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry's development of innovative medicinal treatments and related regulatory issues, are critically explored, with a particular emphasis on the European Union. This is because of the qualities granted by the nanoscale. Finally, concerns about recent uses and projected advancements are discussed. © 2024 CRC Press.
