Abstract

We report Brillouin scattering gain in two novel Silicon-on-Insulator architectures - double slab and double-lobed waveguides. We show that the geometrical parameters influence the Brillouin gain and frequency shift, thereby offering flexibility to maximize gain. © 2022 IEEE.
