Abstract

A Mueller matrix-based optical system is developed for quantifying the optical properties of the heart tissues excised from the control (cadaver bodies) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) patients. The aim is to distinguish healthy from fibrotic heart tissues. © 2023 IEEE.
