Abstract
In recent years, certain nonstandard drone operations have caused many safety concerns to defense and civil aviation operations. This paper demonstrates a radar designed using USRP B210 with custom code for detecting a drone. The radar has been tested under various scenarios with a small drone in an outdoor environment. The present configuration has a range of 40m for a small drone made of carbon fiber composite. The range can be improved by incorporating RF gain stages in the transmit and receive directions. © 2022 IEEE.
