Abstract

Information and communication technologies have paved the way for the incredible growth in providing information services. Nevertheless, providing services for a mobile user in a mobile data network draws a major issue because of frequent change of context. In many works, it is good to see that services are provided by considering context of a user. But, providing services based on semantics of user still pose a big challenge especially in a Mobile Data Network (MDN). It necessitates systematic design of mobile user model of a user in terms of his/her interest, preference, location, time, history for providing exact services. At this juncture, we have designed the Mobile User Model (MUM) which provides phenomenal and optimal mobile data about a mobile user in a mobile data network. Undoubtedly, this mobile user model will pave the way for fine delivery of mobile data as a good response to a query raised by a mobile user in a mobile data network. We have a Query Generation Model (QGM to generate various queries based on the user's current needs based on this Mobile User Model for a mobile data network. We have given case studies of a mobile user model with different values for a user in a MDN. The accuracy and efficiency of our proposed model are shown with encouraging results which indicates the peculiar design of our Mobile User Model. We have presented our Mobile User Model using ontology to study the representation of knowledge in semantics and personal profile of a mobile user. © 2020 IEEE.
