Abstract

Raman spectroscopy, photoluminescence, and time-resolved spectroscopy measurement results are reported in the epitaxial Bi2NiMnO6 (BNMO) thin film, deposited via. pulse laser deposition (PLD) technique. Raman signature of the film confirms monoclinically distorted double perovskite structure and single-phase nature of film. Temperature-dependent Raman spectroscopy demonstrates an absence of structural phase change around ferromagnetic Curie temperature (TCM = 175K) and there are no significant phonon anomalies in the investigated temperature range. Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy study shows an optical bandgap of 3.4 eV at room temperature. Sample produces a highly efficient fluorescent green emission. Time-resolved photoluminescence spectra of BNMO thin films are also recorded for 360 nm wavelength excited at room temperature
