Abstract
Electrical tree patterns have been generated both experimentally and through stochastic simulation procedure using fractal geometry in Two Dimensions. The electrode arrangement consist of a grounded mettallic plane and a pointed electrode at high potential. The Tree patterns obtained experimentally under different electric field conditions such as AC,DC and Impulse have been compared with those simula.ted on the computer. Fractal dimensions obtained for different trees appear to characterise them in to distinct groups. Calculation of parameters governing the tree propagation have been presented.
