Abstract

The author develops a theory for an electrochemical way of detecting the roughness of a metal surface. He relates the surface structure factor of a metal surface to the average reaction current measured on the metal surface and obtains its inverse too. Under the small and large time regime analysis he extracts information regarding various morphological features of metal surface.
