Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of formation generation of two UAVs with constraints on engagement time. A leader-follower scenario with the leader being non-maneuvering is considered. The track guidance method is used to generate a class of spatial trajectories for the follower UAV. In concurrence with the spatial curves, a speed profile is proposed for satisfying the temporal constraints. Simulation results are presented for an exact sat- isfaction of time-to-formation. The work highlights an easy to implement UAV formation guidance method with spatio-temporal exibility.
