Abstract

An urgent need in detection of low concentration of Thrombin is necessary with low cost chips. Thrombin is a good indicator for thrombosis and Hemostasis diseases. Here we report that limit of detection of thrombin on polyelectrolyte multilayer coated on metal surface like aluminium sputtered glass and low cost aluminium foil. The limit of detection on our platform is quite commensurable (1ng/ml) with commercially available FAST (watt man) slides and also with other reports. This work manifests the feasible of PEMs in roll to roll manufacture of low-cost devices for biomedical applications.
