Abstract
Electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) properties of Co-based sodium fluorophosphate was studied. Na2CoPO4F, having orthorhombic structure, was synthesized by solution combustion method. The morphology was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The material exhibits an onset potential of 0.854 V vs. RHE with a current density of 5.84 mA cm-2 during ORR reaction while during OER an onset potential of 1.591 V vs. RHE was observed. Aqueous Na-air battery was fabricated using Na2CoPO4F as air-cathode and excellent (dis)charge properties were observed.
