Abstract
Using a frequency domain approach, we construct two dimensional (2D) codes for correcting random error patterns. We provide algorithms to find the erroneous locations and compute the entire error spectrum. Our code construction is algebraic, and is useful for encoding 2D data for applications ranging from bar codes to imaging applications.
