Abstract

The purpose of the study is to understand the relationship between the learning methods and the assessment methods of engineering and management students studying the IoT knowledge areas. The paper presents the results of the study performed with 2315 final year engineering and management students across colleges from the state of Karnataka in India. The data collection instrument was questionnaire based and the dimensions used in the study were project-problem-based learning, collaborative learning, experiential learning, technology-enabled learning, project-problem-based assessment, collaborative assessment, experiential assessment, and technology-enabled assessment. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between the learning methods and the assessment methods of engineering and management students studying the IoT knowledge areas. However, the study also concluded that there is no significant difference in the path of relationship between the learning methods and the assessment methods among engineering or management students.
