Abstract
The India-Eurasia collision during the Cenozoic has led to the evolution of the Himalaya, one of the most intensely deforming continental collision zones in the world. The eastern and western terminations of the Himalayan arc are marked respectively by the eastern and western syntaxes, which strongly bend around a vertical axis and form distinctive collisional belts.
