Abstract

The trap-door spider Conothele ogalei sp.n. is described from the holotype male and paratype females collected in Amboli (Maharashtra, India). This is the first report of the genus Conothele from the northern Western Ghats and also the first description of a male congener from India. The data on the natural history of the new species as well as notes on the diversity and distribution of Indian Conothele spp. are provided. © 2022 K M K Scientific Press Ltd. All rights reserved.
