Abstract
The current method for the detection of peptide hydrogen bond (PHB) formation places charge donors/acceptors (D/A) at the N-/C-termini of the peptides involved in the putative PHB. The efficiency of the charge transfer influences the kinetics of the first order reaction at A and hence reports on the formation and electronic properties of the PHB. © The Royal Society of Chemistry and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique 2021.
