Vijayakumar, K and Ramaiah, GK (2021) Poisson Theory of Plates with Fourier Sinusoidal Series. [Book Chapter]
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
Analysis of elastic plates through the application of Poisson theory is quite sufficient for the practicing engineers even for thick plates. It involves solutions of Laplace, Poisson, and biharmonic equations (or their variants). In bending problems, solution of a complementary problem based on proper sinusoidal function based on Levys work is required to distinguish neutral and face plane deformations. This Levys work is extended here so as to generate sequence of 2-D problems without the need to use polynomial functions. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
