Abstract

This paper analyses the spatial characteristics of trajectories generated using Proportional Navigation (PN) guidance. Using the monotonic regions of line-of-sight (LOS) parameters, necessary conditions are derived for avoiding static obstacles. The results are presented as range of navigation constant and initial heading angle values to avoid the obstacles.
