Abstract

This paper proposes modified control for the existing transient vector based control of induction machine (IM). The modified control considers the effect of core loss resistance also, thereby avoiding the detuning effects that occur due to omission of core loss resistance. Output feedback control is employed for the closed loop operation of the proposed control. Small signal analysis for the non-linear induction machine model is presented in this paper. Robust controller design for the modified control is also presented to take care of uncertainties in all the parameters of IM. The proposed control is validated through simulation results and the comparison of the modified method with existing control is also presented in this paper. © 2020 IEEE.
