Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of autonomous landing of a fixed wing UAV on a moving and non-maneuvering platform. The UAV altitude is regulated according to its relative horizontal separation with respect to the platform. Additionally, a speed profile is proposed for a smooth convergence to landing speed requirement. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
