Abstract

In this work, aluminium nanoparticle/PEDOT: PSS composite as a hole transport layer (HTL) was investigated in the inverted bulk hetero junction (BHJ) polymer solar cell for light trapping and management effectiveness. The short-circuit current density (Jsc) in a P3HT: PC60BM based inverted BHJ solar cell is observed to be increased on dispersing Al nanoparticles in the HTL. Interface modification was examined by optical and electrical characterization. Further, the enhancement in the device performance was investigated by optical and electrical device simulation.
