Abstract
We consider a delay tolerant network, with mobile nodes modelled as performing independent random walks on a graph. We compute the mean time to convey a message from a mobile source to a fixed destination on the graph, via mobile relay nodes adopting a two-hop relay protocol. The complexity of computing the mean delay is high in a large network. Therefore, we propose two low complexity methods to approximately compute the mean delay via state aggregation. Similar methods can be used to obtain the performance of other routing protocols in such a network.
