Abstract
The structure of the title compound, C17H14ClNO2, is reported. The benzene ring of the 1-benzopyran-2(1H)-one (coumarin) moiety makes a dihedral angle of 1.01 (13)degrees with the pyrone ring and the benzene ring of the p-chloroanilinomethyl moiety makes a dihedral angle of 101.62 (10)degrees with the mean plane of the coumarin moiety. The molecules are held together by N-H ... O hydrogen bonds.
