Abstract
A novel technique to transmit identification and sensor information measured at the tag to the reader. The proposed system incorporates a technique to avoid collision in multi-tag environment without increasing complexity of the reader. The proposed device presents a novel idea to modulate a sensor and identification information in a single spike. It has ability to operate at low power as the system uses spike modulation technique with analog backscatter communication. A spike is generated at the tag on every rising edge of the oscillator and hence information is sent to the tag periodically. The system finds application where information is required continually. All the complexities of the communication are addressed at the tags side making the RFID reader simple to design. The proposed architecture for communication allows to integrate multiple sensors in a single spike from tag to reader.
