Abstract

Now a days users are expecting high data rate services with minimum energy consumption at less cost. The cellular controlled short-range communication (CCSRC) networks are used to enhance the data rate, to minimize the energy consumption of applications, and also, to utilize the spectrum efficiently. In the proposed work intelligent agents are used for collecting user information and to monitor the communication network pro actively. This method concentrates on scheduling the calls in CCSRC networks by minimizing the energy consumption of mobile nodes and increasing the spectrum utilization efficiency of the network. We have simulated the CCSRC network environment with several short-range communication networks in one cellular communication network. The simulation results showed that CCSRC network has higher performance than cellular network interms of spectrum utilization efficiency, call dropping probability and average delay experienced by a call.
