Abstract

For several years, we have been engaged in evaluating the helix-coil stability constants for the naturally occurring amino acids in water. Specifically, we have determined the values of the parameters u and s of the Zimm-Bragg theory2 for several amino acids in aqueous solution, using the "host-guest" technique.
