Abstract

Radical polymerization in the presence of oxygen known as oxidative polymerization results in the formation of low molecular weight products with oxygen containing functional groups (aldehydes, ketones, etc.) in addition to copolymers with oxygen.1 The features of the simultaneous occurrence of polymerization and oxidation have been the subject of numerous investigations, and it has led to the establishment of oxidative polymerization as an independent field of radical chain polymerization.
