Abstract

Using Bethe ansatz we study N-body bound states of a generalized nonlinear Schrodinger model with two coupling constants c and \eta. We find that bound states exist for all values of c but only within certain ranges (called bands) of \eta. These ranges are governed by Farey sequences in number theory.
