Abstract

This article describes a new method of wave form transformation through the use of a nonlinear capacitor. Two specific examples, the transformation of a sinusoidal wave form to a triangular wave form and vice versa are discussed in detail. A method of obtaining this nonlinear capacitor, by having a suitable doping profile in a metal-oxide-semiconductor capacitor is also described. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics.
