Abstract
Volume graphics has made rapid strides in recent years. Initially aimed at visualization applications that involved large data sets, the potential of volume graphics in other applications is being gradually realised. In this paper we present our recent work in volume graphics. Volume rendering, voxel-based modeling for emerging manufacturing technologies, scientific visualization and volume virtual reality have been the major thrusts of research and development efforts at the Indian institute of Science in the last few years. In this paper we highlight some of the unique aspects of our work.
