Abstract
In the title compound, $C_{11}H_{7}ClO_{3}$, the coumarin system is planar and makes a dihedral angle of $6.6(1){^o}$ with the acetyl group. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H...O hydrogen bonds and aromatic $ {\pi}-{\pi}$ inter-actions.
