Abstract

The complexes of pyrimidine-2-thione with Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) were studied in deuterated DMSO at room temperature by employing $^1H$ and $^{13}C$ NMR techniques. These Group IIB metal ions seem to bind to pyrimidine-2-thione solely through S.
