Abstract

Recombination of apo-C protein of hen's egg yolk very-low-density lipoprotein with egg yolk lecithin and a mixture of egg yolk lecithin and triolein gave lipid-protein complexes. Both had a higher helical content than did the native very-low-density lipoprotein. Based on the chemical compounds of these complexes and amino acid sequence of apo-C protein, the nature of lipid-protein interaction is discussed.
