Abstract

A review of XPS and Auger electron spectroscopic studies of surface segregation and oxidation properties of Cu based binary alloys. Solute or solvent segregations has been generalized for Cu alloys. The effect of temperature and surface composition on the sequence of oxidation of Cu alloys is described.
